Kennett Run

Kennett Run Charities organizes an annual community race in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, bringing runners, walkers, volunteers, and spectators together in rural Southern Chester County. Celebrating more than 36 years of running through the area, the event has raised over $1.315 million to support local communities. Its proceeds benefit Southern Chester County nonprofits and institutions providing education, health, social, and environmental services.

The race program offers a 5K and 10K run through Kennett Square’s scenic streets and rolling hills, with the start and finish at Anson B. Nixon Park. Participants seeking an added challenge can choose the 5K or 10K PoweRun, where weightlifting before the race can reduce an adjusted finishing time. Families and participants looking for a gentler option can join the Kids Fun Run, a 700-yard loop around the park pond, or the 1 Mile Walk/Run. The event also features a post-race celebration with food, beverages, and entertainment. Kennett Run welcomes community support through sponsorship, volunteering, participation, and cheering along the route.
