Ken's Gardens

Ken’s Gardens is a family-owned garden center serving Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with locations in Smoketown and Intercourse and a sister store, Gallery Grow, in downtown Lancaster. The business describes itself as a local favorite for 50 years, offering plants, gardening supplies, helpful advice, and educational experiences for gardeners of varied interests and skill levels.

Its broad selection includes trees, shrubs, roses, annuals, perennials, native plants, fruit and vegetable plants, herbs, houseplants, succulents, and tropical plants, alongside seeds, pots, tools, soil, and seasonal décor. Customers can find options for shade, privacy, borders, containers, water-wise gardens, and other planting needs. Staff provide plant recommendations and guidance on common garden problems, while the Learning Center shares tips on topics such as pruning, roses, and growing produce.

Ken’s also hosts workshops and events focused on activities including seed starting, container gardening, and terrarium making. Each location offers a Planting Bar, where customers who purchase a plant and container can use the provided tools and soil to pot their plant in-store.
