Art in the Park, hosted by Kent Parks and Recreation, is a celebrated annual festival in Kent, Ohio, held in the picturesque Fred Fuller Park. This family-friendly event, taking place the weekend after Labor Day, gathers art enthusiasts from across Northeast Ohio to appreciate a vibrant display of creativity. Featuring over 100 talented artists, the festival showcases a diverse array of art forms, including photography, paintings, ceramics, jewelry, and more. An exciting aspect of the festival is the “Young At Art” area, which highlights the work of young artists in grades 3 through 12.

Attendees can engage in hands-on art demonstrations, enjoy live music performances ranging from jazz to folk, and savor delicious offerings from various food vendors. The event also features a juried show with monetary prizes for the best artworks and displays, fostering community participation and recognition. Art in the Park not only uplifts local artistry but also supports future art programs through events like the Sylvia Coogan Silent Auction. It’s a dynamic celebration of culture, creativity, and community spirit.
