Keolis Ireland, operating through KeolisAmey, is a private provider of multimodal public transport and a participant in Ireland’s shared mobility market. The company and its partner Amey have been awarded a contract to operate and maintain Dublin’s Luas light rail system, working with Transport Infrastructure Ireland and the National Transport Authority. The contract is scheduled to begin on 1 September 2026, with a core term of seven years and an option to extend for up to six more years.

KeolisAmey plans to support the network with service enhancements, an initial deep clean of Luas stops, and operational and maintenance processes used across its other networks. The plans also include remote monitoring solutions for light rail and infrastructure, intended to help detect and prevent failures. Through this work, the partnership aims to contribute to the future of the Luas network and its service for passengers and employees. Luas is described as an iconic part of Dublin’s transport system, and the new contract will place KeolisAmey in a central role in its ongoing operation and upkeep.
