Keski-Uudenmaan Sukeltajat

Keski-Uudenmaan Sukeltajat ry is a Finnish diving club founded in 1978 and one of the country’s largest, with more than 200 members. Based mainly in Järvenpää, Kerava and Tuusula, the club also welcomes members from the Helsinki metropolitan area and beyond. More than half its membership consists of junior and youth divers, reflecting its strong commitment to activities for children and young people.

The club organizes diving trips along the coast and on inland waters, including excursions around Sipoo, Porvoo and Helsinki. It owns a boat based in Karhusaari, Helsinki, and provides members with access to a wide range of equipment, affordable gear rental and free cylinder fills. Diving courses are arranged when needed, sometimes in cooperation with nearby clubs. Other activities include underwater rugby, junior programs in Tuusula, and baby and family swimming.

Membership also includes the Ankka club magazine and the Sukeltaja magazine. Keski-Uudenmaan Sukeltajat is a member of the Finnish Divers’ Association and has received recognition for its club and youth activities, including designation as a Children’s and Youth Sports Star Club.
