Keskkonnaharidus

Keskkonnaharidus is a vital network dedicated to promoting environmental education and awareness across Estonia. It encompasses a range of centers and programs that focus on understanding and preserving natural ecosystems. The initiative provides diverse educational opportunities, including specialized learning programs and resources that cater to all ages. Notable establishments within the network include the RMK visitor centers located in various national parks, such as Vilsandi, Karula, and Alutaguse, where visitors can engage in guided tours and interactive exhibitions about local flora and fauna.

Additionally, organizations like Pernova Hariduskeskus and Tartu Loodusmaja offer hands-on learning experiences, workshops, and environmental projects aimed at enhancing public knowledge about ecological conservation. The network also includes various partnerships with NGOs and educational institutions that strive to foster sustainable practices within the community. By connecting people with nature, Keskkonnaharidus cultivates an appreciation for Estonia’s rich biodiversity and promotes active participation in environmental stewardship.
