KeyProof Ltd provides verification infrastructure for UK car hire firms, bringing the key evidence for each rental together in one digital record. Its platform connects a hirer’s licence check, signed agreement, deposit details, identity verification and vehicle condition photos, with each step timed and the completed record sealed when the hire closes. This gives operators a single place to retrieve information that might otherwise be scattered across phones, paper documents, inboxes and message threads.
For each booking, the firm sends the hirer a link. Hirers can complete the required steps on their own phone without installing an app or creating an account, and keep a hire pass until the car is returned. The service includes guided condition photography and supports card deposits or recorded cash deposits. Identity documents are handled by Stripe; KeyProof retains the verification result.
KeyProof is not insurance and does not determine fault. The company is inviting up to five UK hire firms to join its private beta, with platform access free until its planned public launch in January 2027.
