Keystone Retriever Club (KRC) is a Pennsylvania-based dog club dedicated to helping handlers develop their dogs’ natural retrieving abilities for hunting and competition. An affiliate of the American Kennel Club and a member of the Master National Retriever Club and Master Amateur Retriever Club, KRC introduces newcomers to hunt tests and field trials while supporting intermediate and advanced handlers as they progress.

The club holds monthly training sessions at locations in south-central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland. Sessions are tailored to attendance and dogs’ skill levels, with practice setups modeled on AKC test situations. Members can also take part in club-sponsored tests and trials, seminars, small-group training, mentoring, and educational activities. Membership includes voting privileges, monthly newsletters, networking, and access to training opportunities.

KRC emphasizes humane treatment, responsible equipment use, firearms safety, and attention to dogs’ health and training conditions. Experienced members, including AKC-certified judges, share their knowledge with handlers of varied ages and backgrounds.
