Key to Joy

Key to joy is a registered charity serving adults with mild to moderate learning difficulties and neurodiversity in Fareham and Gosport. Formerly known as FNC The Friday Night Charity, it adopted its current name in December 2023. The charity’s purpose is to improve members’ wellbeing, build confidence and support them to live more independent, fulfilling lives. Its welcoming, safe environment helps members feel included, form friendships and take part in activities that develop their skills and potential.

Key to joy offers regular practical life-skills sessions covering topics such as shopping, finance and cooking. Members can also join arts and crafts workshops led by staff, volunteers and local artists, and take part in gardening, growing flowers, fruit and vegetables while learning about sustainability. Weekly archery sessions are held in a secure outdoor area with trained GB Archery coaches. Professional staff and trained volunteers support members throughout these activities.

The charity also invites individuals and businesses to support its work through donations, fundraising, volunteering and corporate sponsorship.
