Kämpfer und Freunde der Spanischen Republik 1936-1939 e.V. (KFSR) is a notable organization dedicated to preserving the memory and legacy of those who fought for the Spanish Republic during its civil war. Established in Berlin, KFSR actively engages in educational activities, commemorative events, and research on the significant contributions of international volunteers—over 3,000 of whom were German—who participated in the struggle for freedom and democracy from 1936 to 1939.
The brand offers a wide range of services, including organizing memorial marches, film screenings, and informative gatherings to educate the public about historical events and their relevance today. KFSR is deeply committed to advocating against militarization and promoting peace, demonstrated through their active participation in demonstrations and partnerships with international organizations dedicated to similar causes.
Through events like the annual gathering and themed film screenings, KFSR fosters a community of like-minded individuals who honor those who stood against fascism and strive for a more just world.
