KG Die Burgwächter vun Hollwigg e.V. is a Cologne carnival society dedicated to preserving and developing the traditional Fastelovend, especially in the Holweide neighbourhood. Since its founding, the organisation has contributed to local carnival life through its presence in street celebrations and a programme of community events. It also places importance on introducing young people to carnival and strengthening connections among members through smaller gatherings and regular social evenings.

The society welcomes visitors who want to celebrate with the community and offers opportunities to get involved through membership. Its activities include a dance corps, a senate and other organisational groups, alongside events for different audiences. The annual programme features celebrations such as the session opening, Kölsche Weihnacht, the Schmölzje Sitzung, Lachendes Holweide and the After Zoch Party. These events bring together Kölsch music, humorous performers, seasonal stories and local traditions, with gatherings held at venues including the Stadtpalais and Schützenhalle Holweide. The organisation also shares news about community occasions such as the Holweider Maifest and the local children’s carnival court.
