KG Grün-Weiß Hamm 1961 e.V. is a carnival society based in Hamm, Germany, combining traditional carnival culture with competitive dance sport. Founded in 1961, the organization has developed a strong sporting focus while continuing to preserve carnival customs and community spirit. Its experienced training team welcomes young people who enjoy movement, dance and acrobatics, with groups for different ages and abilities.
The society’s dance program includes marching dance, themed show dance, solo performances and paired dance. Choreography combines ballet elements, synchronized formations and acrobatic skills. Teams range from the Schorties for young children through youth and junior groups to women’s and mixed adult garde teams, as well as solo dancers. Members perform and compete in tournaments and championships across Germany, and the mixed adult team has earned multiple German championship titles.
Alongside training and competitions, KG Grün-Weiß Hamm stages major carnival events, including a men’s session, a Women’s Carnival celebration and a gala session.
