About KGH Foundation
The KGH Foundation, established in 1978, is dedicated to transforming healthcare in the southern interior of British Columbia. As the lead fundraising organization for the Kelowna General Hospital and its associated care facilities, JoeAnna’s House and the Central Okanagan Hospice House, the foundation strives to bridge the gap between the provincial standard and advanced medical care. With a commitment to excellence, the KGH Foundation aims to provide access to state-of-the-art medical facilities and high-quality patient care when individuals face a medical emergency or serious illness.
Their vision is to bring world-class healthcare close to home, making it accessible to everyone through innovation, technology, and commitment. As a values-driven organization, the KGH Foundation operates with EPIC values: Excellence, Passion, Integrity, and Compassion. They demonstrate excellence in their work, undertake their tasks with passion, conduct themselves with integrity, and approach everything from a place of compassion and empathy.
The foundation ensures organizational efficiency by adhering to the highest industry standards, as evidenced by their impressive Return on Investment and Cost to Raise a Dollar benchmarks. They value the philanthropy of their community and utilize their resources effectively. With a dedicated team of professionals, a committed Board of Directors, and various volunteer-run businesses, the KGH Foundation works tirelessly to advance healthcare in the region.
They also prioritize building good relations with Indigenous nations and peoples living in the area. By partnering with donors, healthcare professionals, and the community, the KGH Foundation builds the foundations for change and world-class health care right at home
