About KhEC MIS
Khwopa Engineering College (KhEC) is Nepal's first community-based engineering college, established in 2001 as an undertaking of Bhaktapur Municipality — making it a unique institution governed and funded by local government rather than private or central state interests. Affiliated to Purbanchal University and located at Libali in the historic city of Bhaktapur, the college operates under the guiding motto Dedicated to People and Country. KhEC offers undergraduate programmes in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Communication & Automation Engineering, Architecture, BCA-IT, and BIT, alongside postgraduate programmes including an ME in Earthquake Engineering and an MSc in Urban Design & Conservation.
