The Cơ sở y tế không khói thuốc lá initiative is a nationwide competition aimed at promoting smoke-free healthcare facilities across Vietnam. Targeted at both central and local healthcare establishments, including private providers, this competition underscores a commitment to enhancing public health and the environment. Participants are assessed through two primary phases: a preliminary round from August 5 to September 30, 2025, where they submit written and video presentations, followed by a final round from October 15 to November 15, 2025, culminating in a quiz segment.

The initiative not only seeks to highlight facilities that excel in creating smoke-free environments but also aims to increase awareness among health professionals and the public regarding the dangers of tobacco use. Winners will receive various awards, including cash prizes and certificates, with the final results scheduled to be announced by November 15, 2025, and a concluding ceremony planned for December 2025. Through this competition, the goal is to foster effective practices that can be replicated across healthcare systems, ultimately contributing to improved health outcomes for the community.
