Kickback Recovery

Kickback Recovery is a Sheffield-based lived-experience recovery organisation supporting people affected by substance misuse, addiction, alcoholism and related mental health challenges, as well as their family members. Its approach centres on connection, shared experience and the belief that recovery is possible. The organisation offers a welcoming community where people can find encouragement, information and practical support without facing difficulties alone.

Services include group therapy meetings and addiction and recovery education, with sessions focused on sharing experiences, building resilience and understanding recovery strategies. Kickback Recovery also provides peer-led support through social media, one-to-one clinic appointments, and activities such as art, fitness and mindfulness to encourage wellbeing and personal growth. Its meetings combine recovery education with group therapy and take place at venues in Sheffield.

Alongside its support services, Kickback Recovery shares educational resources and articles about recovery, mental health, relationships and reducing stigma. The organisation also supports affected family members as they navigate the impact of addiction.
