Kids Duo

Kids Duo is an English-language after-school and childcare service for preschoolers and elementary school students in Japan. Part of the YARUKI Switch Group, it provides an immersive, all-English environment where children learn through daily activities, conversation, and play, supported by native English-speaking and bilingual staff. Programs are designed to encourage natural language development alongside independence, social skills, cooperation, and communication.

The main offerings include courses for children aged three through elementary school, plus a programming course for kindergarteners through junior high school students; programming lessons are taught in Japanese and availability varies by school. An advanced KDA course for proficient English speakers and returnee students is offered at selected locations, with activities such as discussion, research, and presentations. Regular sessions can run from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with extended care until 8:30 p.m. Dedicated buses provide pick-up from elementary schools and drop-off near home in service areas. Kids Duo also runs seasonal programs during school holidays, offers trial lessons, and operates more than 210 schools across Japan.
