About Kids Inspiring Kids
Kids Inspiring Kids is an inspiring brand that aims to bring about positive change in the lives of children and families in Uganda. Founded by Tomi Mills in 2002, this charitable organization started with a mission to help youth in Texas and later expanded its reach to Uganda in 2005. Tomi's firsthand experience of the devastation caused by civil war and the LRA rebel army led her to establish Kids Inspiring Kids as a non-governmental organization, focusing on assisting the Acholi people in Uganda.
Over the years, Kids Inspiring Kids has provided essential resources and programs to approximately 3000 refugees in the Banda Acholi Quarters, offering food, clothing, character training, job training, language skills, behavior skills, and school fees. Determined to create lasting generational impact, the organization is now working on the Place of Refuge Village project to provide a permanent home for these families. Through various programs such as character building, children's character training, mentoring and education, Kids Inspiring Kids empowers refugees with life skills, support, and hope for a better future.
The brand is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and an international NGO, overseen by a board of directors and with oversight from the International Fellowship of Ministries. You can contribute to the cause by donating, volunteering, or supporting their shop and blog. Join Kids Inspiring Kids in making a difference one life at a time
