Kids Operating Room

Kids Operating Room is a charity focused on making safe surgery accessible to children around the world. The organisation works with medical professionals and hospitals to support life-saving and life-changing operations, helping children recover from illness or injury, avoid disability and return to learning, play and community life. Its work reflects the belief that every child should have access to safe surgery and the opportunity to build a brighter future.

Kids Operating Room supports the development of operating rooms and works across countries from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. The organisation also highlights the wider benefits of children’s surgery for families, communities and health systems, including the potential to improve education, productivity and long-term wellbeing. Its activities are supported by philanthropy, corporate partnerships and community fundraising. Individuals and organisations can donate, partner with the charity or raise funds through challenge events and activities at work, school or in their communities. Through these opportunities, Kids Operating Room seeks to help hospitals treat more children, including during emergencies and power cuts, and to enable healthcare teams to deliver essential surgical care.
