Kidvelo Bikes UK

Kidvelo is a specialist children’s cycling brand making lightweight balance bikes for riders from around 18 months to eight years. Its range includes the Rookie 12, the brand’s smallest and lightest model, and the larger Rookie 14 and Rookie 18, which suit older or bigger beginners. The bikes are designed with lightweight aluminium frames, child-sized components and geometry intended to make them comfortable and easy to control.

Kidvelo’s convertible models start in balance-bike mode and include a pedal kit, allowing children to progress to pedalling on a familiar bike when they are ready. The learning approach builds balance, steering and braking before introducing pedals. To help families choose, Kidvelo provides size and age guides, including inseam recommendations, along with advice on learning to ride, balance bikes and stabilisers, and support for children with additional learning needs.

The brand also sells accessories, helmets, clothing and spare parts. Its founders draw on years of teaching children to ride and organising balance-bike races.
