Kier Equestrian is a family-run stud farm in Spøttrup, Denmark, established in 2022 and built around a passion for Lusitano horses, Welsh ponies and sport ponies. The farm breeds, raises and trains horses and ponies for sale, with an emphasis on producing capable, confident animals suited to their intended roles.
Its Lusitano breeding program uses carefully selected mares and stallions, assessed for pedigree, temperament, movement and rideability. The aim is to produce high-quality offspring in line with the breed objectives of the Portuguese breeding association APSL. Welsh and sport ponies are selected for movement, temperament, charisma and results, as well as their friendly, versatile nature and suitability for children and different riding disciplines.
Kier Equestrian provides training tailored to each horse’s age, development, ability and experience. The family brings more than 35 years of experience handling and training horses. The animals live outdoors in pastures year-round, grouped according to their relationships, and foals are weaned naturally when ready.
