KiKaC

KiKaC, the Kinderkarnevalverein Cottbus, is a nonprofit association dedicated exclusively to promoting children’s carnival traditions in the Cottbus region. It combines festive activities with youth work, helping children take part in community life while discovering carnival customs, local identity and a sense of belonging. The association also supports carnival clubs in their children’s and youth programs and assists primary schools with traditional carnival events.

During the carnival season, from November 11 through Ash Wednesday, KiKaC organizes and participates in events including the Spatzengala, the Zug der fröhlichen Kinder, the Prinzenkrönung and the Rathaussturm. Its “Heut steppt der Spatz” gala brings children’s groups together to perform for local audiences. KiKaC seeks to make participation accessible through donations, sponsor support and complimentary tickets for children. Businesses and self-employed supporters can also promote themselves in the gala program and on the association’s website. The organization welcomes new members and community support for its children’s and youth activities.
