Kimbrough Animal Hospital, located at 1613 Judson Rd, Longview, TX 75601, is a compassionate and dedicated veterinary practice. In June 2015, tragedy struck when a fire consumed their building and took the lives of 38 beloved pets. The loss deeply impacted both the Kimbrough staff and the families who cherished their pets.
Despite the heartache, the support from the community during this difficult time has been tremendous. To honor the memory of the pets lost, Kimbrough Animal Hospital has built an outdoor pet memorial. This beautiful memorial features a fountain constructed with salvaged bricks from the old building and a plaque that forever memorializes the names of the pets lost in the fire.
Additionally, bronze statues of their beloved clinic cats, Olive and Etta, grace the base of the fountain. Visitors to the memorial are invited to pay tribute and offer a moment of silence for these cherished companions. Kimbrough Animal Hospital and their affiliated Gindy's Pet Resort offer a range of veterinary services, including pet wellness, diagnostics, surgery, dental care, and emergency services.
