Kimling’s Academy of Martial Arts is a martial arts school in Oakland Park, Florida, serving students and families from Fort Lauderdale, Wilton Manors, North Andrews Gardens, and nearby communities. Since 1996, the academy has taught more than 9,000 students, guided by its mission to “Lead by Example.” It presents martial arts as a way to build fitness, self-defense skills, discipline, confidence, and personal growth in a welcoming, supportive community.

Programs are available for children and adults at different experience levels. Adult classes emphasize fitness, self-defense, and mental discipline, while beginner classes introduce foundational techniques in a friendly setting. Children can participate in martial arts training, after-school programs that include life skills and homework assistance, day camps, and summer camps focused on learning, confidence, and making friends. The academy also offers a two-week martial arts trial for newcomers and hosts kids’ birthday parties. Its broad range of classes and youth programs is designed to support students’ development both on and off the mat.
