Kinderboerderij De Vechtse Hoeve

Kinderboerderij De Vechtse Hoeve is a community farm in Maarssen, the Netherlands, offering a welcoming place for visitors to meet animals and enjoy time outdoors. With the motto “a home for many animals needing a new home,” the farm emphasizes care for its residents, including its dedicated guinea pig rescue. Its animal collection and focus on animal welfare make the farm a destination for families and animal lovers.

Alongside its animals, De Vechtse Hoeve provides a playground where children can play while adults relax on the terrace. The farm also welcomes school visits and offers opportunities for internships, helping visitors connect with animals and farm life. Seasonal events and activities include celebrations such as Easter and Animal Day, as well as fundraising initiatives supported by local businesses and the community.

The organization relies on donations, sponsors, and community support to continue its work. Open on most days, with seasonal hours and Thursdays closed, De Vechtse Hoeve combines animal care, family recreation, and community involvement in one accessible local attraction.
