Kindergärten City is a Berlin-based provider of early childhood education and care, operating 58 day-care centres across the districts of Mitte and Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Its kindergartens welcome children from all backgrounds and support them through their first steps in learning, with care shaped around each child’s individual needs. The organisation’s approach emphasises time to settle in, movement, varied activities and consistent caregivers. Many centres have spacious gardens where children can play safely in different weather and experience nature within the city.
Families can explore profiles of individual kindergartens, search for locations by postcode or district, and contact centres directly to ask about places and arrange a visit. Kindergärten City also provides information and support related to registration, childcare agreements and parent contributions. Its wider educational work includes language development, media education, research activities, healthy and active lifestyles, and family-centre services. The organisation shares news, publications and professional development opportunities, and offers career information for prospective employees.
