Kindergruppe HAIDI e.V. is a parent-led, nonprofit childcare organization in Freiburg-Rieselfeld, Germany. Founded in 2004, it provides early-years care for children from age one until they enter kindergarten, with no provision for older kindergarten-age children. Its two groups, Pinguine and Seepferdchen, each welcome up to ten children, supported by an experienced team of seven trained childcare professionals and stable, familiar caregivers.

HAIDI offers full- and part-time care options on weekdays, with hours varying by schedule, and provides a structured, nurturing setting for play, discovery, movement, rest, and individual development. Children use equipped group rooms, a garden and outdoor play areas, a sleep room, and a movement room; the group rooms are air-conditioned. Walks and outings in the surrounding Rieselfeld area are part of everyday life. The organization also shares its educational approach and child-protection principles with families and provides information appointments to introduce its facilities and enrollment process. Families must register through Freiburg’s central childcare pre-registration system, with places offered when available.
