Kinderhaus Harrislee

Therapeutisches Kinderhaus Harrislee and Junges Wohnen Harrislee is a family-run private child and youth welfare provider in Harrislee, near the Danish border and the Flensburg Fjord. Led by Jean-Pierre and Nicole Godau, the second-generation organization offers residential support for up to 18 children and young people across three small-group homes. Kinderhaus Musbek has 10 places for residents aged six and over, while the Ostermark and Westerstraße youth residences each provide four places for young people aged 16 and over. Care generally serves ages six to 18, with support potentially continuing beyond 18.

The organization supports young people experiencing developmental, emotional, behavioral, social, family, or school-related difficulties, including those affected by violence. Its services include educational and therapeutic support, individual rooms, help with schoolwork, school integration assistance, and coordination with schools and families. Residents can also receive vocational orientation through local business contacts. A multidisciplinary team includes educators, teachers, de-escalation trainers, and other specialists. Leisure options include sports, riding, dance, and youth fire brigade activities.
