Kinderkrankenpflege

Häusliche Kinderkrankenpflege in Hamburg e.V. is a Hamburg-based home nursing organization dedicated to caring for seriously ill children and young people. Its experienced pediatric nursing professionals provide individualized one-to-one support for children with complex, ongoing medical needs, with a focus on reliable, high-quality care. The organization works in partnership with parents, recognizing them as equal participants in their child’s care, and develops care plans around each child’s individual circumstances.

Its services include long-term intensive nursing at home, in daycare or at school for children who need support and monitoring for up to 24 hours a day. The team also provides palliative care for children with life-limiting illnesses, helping families receive comprehensive support in familiar surroundings during the final stage of life. Following a hospital stay, its step-down nursing service teaches and supports parents as they build confidence in caring for their child, gradually reducing professional involvement as family skills develop. The organization also emphasizes collaboration with other care partners and offers families personal assistance with questions about arranging support.
