Kindertherapie Lef

Kindertherapie Lef is an independent child and adolescent therapy practice in Zaandam, led by Femke Soethoudt, an integrative child and adolescent therapist and educational psychologist. After 18 years in Amsterdam and a year in Tilburg, she now works with children, young people and their parents in Zaandam. Her broad training allows her to tailor support to each child rather than follow a single therapeutic approach. The practice focuses on drawing on a child’s inner strength and the support of the people around them, while helping families regain confidence and a sense of ease.

Therapy is not limited to talking: sessions may include body-oriented approaches and play. Parents and children work together with the therapist for a short period, with the aim of making changes that help the family continue independently. The practice states that it has no waiting list and begins treatment directly. It does not provide diagnoses; if signs of a possible disorder emerge, the options for further assessment are discussed with the family.
