Kings Bay AS is a brand that specializes in managing valuable natural and cultural environments while serving as a facilitator for the Ny-Ålesund Research Station. Owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment, Kings Bay AS owns and operates the town of Ny-Ålesund and its surrounding area. With a property spanning 295 km2, including Brøggerhalvøya and a coastal strip on the east and north sides of Kongsfjorden, Kings Bay AS is responsible for managing, protecting, maintaining, and utilizing 29 protected buildings, representing half of the buildings in Ny-Ålesund. Additionally, they are responsible for preserving a large number of protected technical monuments and sites from the mining and polar history of the area.
