Kinkade Funeral

Kinkade Funeral Chapel is a family-focused funeral service provider in Sturgis, South Dakota, serving the surrounding Black Hills and Western South Dakota communities. The chapel has served the area since 1967, when Marlowe and Helen Kinkade purchased the business, which had previously operated as Anderson-Stingley Funeral Home. Kinkade Funeral Chapel became a South Dakota corporation in 1992 and joined Pioneer Enterprises, an employee-owned group of South Dakota and Wyoming funeral directors, in 2020.

The team offers compassionate support for families arranging services after a loss or planning ahead. Services include traditional funerals, cremation, immediate-need assistance, personalization, and veterans services. Families can access online preplanning forms, checklists, cremation authorization forms, and obituary notifications. The chapel also provides practical resources, including guidance on what to do when a loved one passes, funeral etiquette, government benefits, and grief support for adults and children. Local florist information and live-streaming options are also available. Staff are reachable 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to help families navigate arrangements with care and professionalism.
