The Kinzua Heritage Festival is a family-oriented nonprofit organization in Russell, Pennsylvania, dedicated to keeping the past alive through traditional crafts, arts, and music. Its annual event invites visitors to step back in time and explore a wooded glen where local and visiting artisans, dressed in period costumes, demonstrate skills passed down through generations. Featured crafts include weaving, blacksmithing, pottery, leatherwork, jewelry, and bow making; visitors can watch demonstrations and purchase handmade creations.
Music is central to the festival, with performances spanning country gospel, bluegrass, Native music, and classic covers. Musicians and storytellers appear throughout the weekend on two stages, and charity auctions are held on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p. m.
The festival also welcomes artisans who wish to participate as vendors. The 22nd annual event is scheduled for August 21–23, 2026. Admission is $5 for adults and free for children aged 10 and under.
