The Evangelische Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Kirchliche Zeitgeschichte (EvAKiZ) is a German Protestant organization dedicated to researching and communicating the history of the church, particularly the history of Protestantism in the 20th century. Founded by the Council of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) in 1955, it brings together a commission of twelve scholars and a research office based at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich’s Faculty of Protestant Theology.
