Kirchuster

Quartierverein Kirchuster is a neighbourhood association serving the Kirchuster community in Uster, Switzerland. Founded in 1986, it aims to bring residents together through local events, shared activities and community involvement. Its programme includes an annual general meeting and social outings, such as coach excursions and boat trips on Lake Greifensee. The association also arranges group visits to theatre performances, offering members discounted tickets and the chance to enjoy cultural events together.

A key responsibility is organising Uster’s official Swiss National Day celebration on 1 August. The event features guest speakers, live music from local ensembles and food provided by a local caterer, with an indoor venue available in case of bad weather. The association also promotes community participation and provides information about its events through its website. Residents and other interested people are welcome at its general meetings, while members benefit from subsidised activities and opportunities to connect with neighbours. Through its varied social and cultural programme, Quartierverein Kirchuster supports a lively neighbourhood spirit in the heart of Uster.
