The Kirishima Kokubu Summer Festival is an annual community celebration organized by the Kirishima Kokubu Summer Festival Executive Committee in Kirishima City, Japan. Held across the city center over two days, it brings residents and visitors together through traditional culture, performances, and participatory events. Its signature attraction is the Kokubunji Mikoshi, named in connection with the historic Ōsumi Kokubunji Temple ruins and Shimazu Yoshihisa.

On the second day, several mikoshi process through the streets, culminating in a dramatic nighttime carrying race. The first day features Sou-Odori, a large-scale dance parade accompanied by live shamisen music, with thousands of participants performing local dances such as Hanya-bushi and Ohara-bushi. Visitors are welcome to join.

Three stages offer varied entertainment, including hero shows, bands, singing, dance, wadaiko drumming, and karate demonstrations. The festival also features fireworks and family-oriented activities.
