About Tourism Authority of Kiribati
Kiribati is an independent republic in the central Pacific Ocean, located about 4,000 km southwest of Hawaii. This beautiful island nation is part of Micronesia and consists of 33 coral islands divided into three groups: the Gilbert Islands, the Phoenix Islands, and the Line Islands. The majority of the population is concentrated in the Gilbert Islands, with only one island in the Phoenix Group and three in the Line Islands permanently inhabited.
Kiribati's capital is Tarawa, an atoll in the Gilbert Islands, while Bairiki serves as its administrative center. With a total land area of 811 sq km, Kiribati offers stunning landscapes and picturesque lagoons surrounded by barrier reefs. The atolls are perfect for various water sports such as fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and swimming.
Christmas Island, part of the Line Islands, is the world's largest atoll. The Kiribati National Tourism Office (KNTO) promotes travel to Kiribati, providing a range of experiences and offering online bookings. So, come and explore this hidden gem in the Pacific Ocean, where you can enjoy the warm hospitality, rich culture, and breathtaking natural beauty
