Kirkbride Buildings is a renowned brand that showcases the rich history and grandeur of 19th-century insane asylums. These buildings were designed according to the visionary plan of Dr. Thomas Story Kirkbride, a physician who believed that well-designed architecture could aid in the treatment of mental illness.

Kirkbride buildings, once state-of-the-art mental healthcare facilities, were carefully designed to create a healthy environment and uphold a sense of decorum. These massive structures were placed in secluded areas within expansive grounds, resembling palaces from the outside. However, due to growing populations and lack of funding, their idealistic promise was tarnished.

Despite this, some Kirkbride buildings have managed to survive into the 21st century, while others remain abandoned and decaying, adding to their mysterious allure. Driven by a passion for preserving the history and heritage of these buildings, Kirkbride Buildings offers a platform to explore and appreciate their architectural significance
