Kirkkonummen Melojat

Kirkkonummen Melojat Ry, also known as Kyrkslätts paddlare or KiMPa, is a registered paddling association based in coastal Kirkkonummi, Finland. Founded in 1985, the club brings together paddlers of all ages and supports recreational, touring, fitness and sea kayaking. Its purpose is to encourage participation in the sport and value the different forms of paddling.

KiMPa helps members develop their skills and knowledge through training and shared outings. The association also promotes safe conduct in nature and respect for the environment, helping paddlers prepare for responsible trips on the water. Alongside its activities, the club serves as a connection point for members who share an interest in paddling and provides a community in which they can pursue the sport together.

The association works with other clubs and communities to promote paddling more broadly, with particular attention to raising awareness of sea kayaking. Through education, excursions and member support, KiMPa makes it easier for paddlers to build confidence, enjoy the local waters and take part in an active outdoor community.
