Kirsten Hasberg 🇩🇰🇩🇪🇭🇺

Kirsten Hasberg is an independent sustainability adviser helping upper-secondary schools connect greener building operations with education for sustainable development. With a degree in economics and a PhD in energy planning from Aalborg University, she brings 15 years of international experience in renewable energy and innovation. Her work combines interdisciplinary learning, systems thinking, STEM and practical action, with the aim of supporting the green transition while improving schools’ finances.

Services include data-based advice on sustainable energy solutions for school buildings, using energy data to provide a sound basis for decisions. Hasberg also supports applications for funding for energy and climate education projects and building improvements. She offers teacher professional development and guidance on creating cross-disciplinary courses informed by current research and technology. Schools can integrate data from facilities such as solar panels and EV charging stations into lessons, linking climate education with everyday practice. In collaboration with partners, she also arranges study tours to innovative businesses in Denmark and abroad, and helps connect students with overseas companies offering apprenticeships or work placements. Her projects have included Nørre Gymnasium, Mercantec, Kalundborg Gymnasium and Københavns Åbne Gymnasium.
