About KISS
KISS, which stands for Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, is a renowned brand that provides a home for over 80,000 underprivileged tribal students. These students receive holistic education and empowerment in a residential campus, completely free of cost. KISS is the world's largest indigenous education institution and is committed to reducing issues like hunger, poverty, illiteracy, and unemployment in India.
In addition to providing free accommodation and education, KISS also offers vocational training in various disciplines. They have a strong focus on holistic education, gender equality, and empowering the girl child. KISS is in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council and is registered under the Societies Act XXI of 1860.
They also have a higher education unit called KISS Deemed to be University, which is the only university in the world exclusively for indigenous scholars. The university provides a world-class residential campus and free facilities for research in unique areas related to tribal culture, heritage, linguistics, and more.
