Kita Martinsburg is a municipal childcare center operated by the City of Osnabrück, located at Blumenhaller Weg 130 on an expansive site between the Wüste, Weststadt, Hellern, and Westerberg neighborhoods. Its diverse community of children and families is central to the center’s work, guided by the motto, “Kindle a fire, don’t fill a vessel – foster diversity and make paths visible. ” The center provides care for children from six months to six years across four groups: a toddler group for ages six months to three, and three groups for children aged two to six or three to six.

Two groups offer integrative care. Regular opening hours are generally 8:00 a. m.

to 2:00 p. m., with the toddler group open until 2:30 p. m.

; additional early or late hours may be available when justified by need. The center follows a partially open educational approach and closes for 28 days annually, including 15 days during the school summer holidays
