Stadt Osnabrück

Kita Schinkel is a municipal childcare centre operated by the City of Osnabrück, Germany. Located on Jeggener Weg, it provides care and early childhood education for children and a welcoming place for families. The centre celebrates the different nationalities, cultures, languages and individual experiences represented in its community, viewing this diversity as an important part of its educational work. Its aim is to create an environment shaped by the circumstances and changing needs of children and their families, encouraging connection and a sense of togetherness.

The centre offers five groups for children aged approximately six months to six years. Three groups serve children aged three to six, and two care for children aged six months to three; some groups provide integrative support. Regular hours begin at 8 a.m., with closing times between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Earlier starts or care until 4 p.m. may be available when there is a justified need. The centre’s educational approach focuses on fostering children’s independence and self-confidence.
