VDWS Kite- & Surfschule Heiligendamm offers individual watersports training on the Baltic coast, with personal instruction rather than group-based lessons. Led by Wolfgang von Oechelhaeuser, a VDWS watersports instructor with more than 30 years of experience, the school welcomes beginners and advanced participants and provides suitable equipment, safety gear and practical teaching.

Its courses cover kitesurfing, kitefoiling, wingfoiling, electric hydrofoiling, windsurfing and stand-up paddling. Kitesurfing instruction follows the VDWS “Basics-into-Move” method and can lead to a VDWS Kitesurfing Licence. Foiling lessons include a VDWS Wingfoiling Licence, while E-Foil sessions introduce beginners to riding with an electric hydrofoil. Windsurf options range from personal coaching to an eight-hour course over two days. SUP lessons are available for small groups, and boards, paddles and wetsuits can also be rented.

Training takes place in Heiligendamm and, for some kite sessions, at the Salzhaff. The school is located by the promenade in Heiligendamm, where customers can enquire by phone or email about appointments.
