Kitty Hamelink

Kitty Hamelink is a visual artist and workshop instructor who shares knowledge about wool, hand spinning, and natural dyeing. Her work highlights wool as a material often treated as waste and encourages participants to connect with nature, sheep, and the craft process. Workshops guide learners through traditional techniques, including sorting, washing, carding, and spinning wool, as well as dyeing it with plants and mushrooms.

Offerings include private wool-spinning sessions, multi-session courses, foraging walks, and The Wild Wool Workshop, with seasonal editions that combine plant gathering and natural dyeing. Other programs explore needle felting and pelt felting, sometimes in collaboration with other organisations. Hamelink also creates handmade felted fleece rugs, available through La Boutique Peridot in Breda, and teaches wool classes as part of the Living Free with Wool year-long course at Vrij Leven Rijsbergen.
