Kiukaisten hevoskasvatusyhdistys

Kiukaisten Hevoskasvatusyhdistys is a Finnish horse-breeding and equestrian association founded in 1911 to promote local horse breeding and horsemanship. Its founding principles continue to guide the organization, which combines support for breeders with opportunities for training, competition and youth participation.

The association has organized trotting races throughout its history, including the once-famous Kultakelloajot at Laihianjärvi. Today, it holds the annual Vilperi race in Kokemäki on the opening day of the racing season. Members can also prepare horses for competition through practice races at Kokemäki racetrack, held on Thursday evenings from early May until late summer or early autumn.

To encourage breeding, the association presents a halter and lead rope at its annual meeting to yearling foals bred by members. Its youth activities include a pony trotting club, which has introduced many young people to driving and training and helped prepare them for future careers in the sport. The association has also organized a P driving-permit course and welcomes new members.
