Urho and Kaisu Kiukas Foundation is a Finnish foundation dedicated to supporting young people from the South Savo region, particularly those from rural areas, in pursuing higher education. Its focus is on students attending universities or universities of applied sciences, helping advance educational opportunities for people with roots in the region. The foundation offers grants through the Kaisu and Urho Kiukas Fund.
Applicants can use the foundation’s online application process, with a chatbot available to guide them step by step. The website also publishes information about grants awarded, allowing applicants and other visitors to check the results. For the 2026 grant round, applications were scheduled to open on 9 March and close on 17 March, with awards announced on 17 March; the site notes that the 2026 grants have been awarded.
The foundation is based in Mikkeli and provides contact details through Asianajotoimisto Ervasti Oy. Its work is centered on practical financial support for young South Savo residents pursuing university or applied-sciences studies
