Kiva2College

Kiva to College is a scholarship initiative focused on expanding access to higher education for graduates of Kiva Elementary, a local public school in the Scottsdale, Arizona area. Its roots go back to a college fair launched in Scottsdale in 2007 to support higher education access and scholarships in the Valley. Although the pandemic ended the demand for the in-person fair, the organization continues its mission by supporting Kiva students, teachers, and staff.

Each year, Kiva to College offers a $1,500 scholarship to a Kiva graduate planning to attend a four-year college or university the following fall. The program also celebrates applicants’ stories, highlighting the people and experiences that inspired their ambitions and the ways their time at Kiva helped shape their character. In addition to scholarship support, the initiative recognizes community contributions, including Target’s donation of a gift card for teacher classroom supplies. Kiva to College welcomes donations to help sustain its support for local students pursuing college. Its scholarship program is administered through the Scottsdale College Fair Foundation.
