Международный аэропорт Красноярск имени Д. А. Хворостовского is one of the most important aviation hubs in Siberia and the Far East.

It serves as a strategic transit point in air travel between Europe and Asia. The airport was opened on October 25, 1980, and has held international status since 1993. Over 20 airlines operate regular and charter flights from Krasnoyarsk International Airport, offering connections to more than 60 destinations.

As of June 2021, it has become the second major hub (after Sheremetyevo) for Russia's national carrier, the Aeroflot Group. The airport complex includes a modern passenger terminal, inaugurated in 2017, with an area of approximately 58,000 square meters and a capacity of 1,302 passengers per hour. It is connected to the business terminal via a walkway.

The business terminal provides amenities such as a special service lounge, conference rooms, coworking spaces, and meeting rooms. Additionally, there is an authentic Siberian cuisine restaurant and a 39-room hotel, some of which offer views of the runway. Another 60-room hotel is also available on the airport grounds.

The airport includes a freight terminal and hangar complex for aircraft maintenance, including a heated hangar with an area of 5,100 square meters and an unheated hangar covering 5,700 square meters.
