Kjernen

Kjernen is a supporters’ organisation connected to Rosenborg and its fan community in Trondheim, with around 2,500 members associated with Øvre Øst. The organisation helps bring supporters together through membership, match-day activities and travel to games, including away fixtures. Kjernen also keeps members informed about its governance and activities, publishing annual meeting notices, agendas and supporting documents. It has publicly addressed conduct within the supporter community, stating that harassment and abuse have no place in the Rosenborg environment or on the terraces. Beyond football, the organisation participates in charitable initiatives with the wider Rosenborg family. These have included a Christmas fundraiser for BitFix Helse, a low-threshold community offering for children and young people experiencing social exclusion in Trondheim, and support for the Norwegian Childhood Cancer Society’s fundraising campaign. Through supporter engagement, practical information and community-minded initiatives, Kjernen serves both as a hub for Rosenborg fans and as an active voice within the club’s supporter culture.
